Pre-care instructions
- Avoid direct sunlight and tanning beds for at least two weeks prior to the treatment.
- Inform your healthcare provider about any medications or supplements you are taking.
- Do not use any topical agents containing retinol or alpha hydroxy acids for at least three days prior to the
treatment. - Avoid consuming blood thinners such as aspirin, ibuprofen, and fish oil supplements for at least a week before
your appointment. - Arrive at your appointment with a clean and makeup-free face.
- Inform your healthcare provider if you have any history of keloid scars, eczema, or psoriasis.
- Avoid any other facial treatments or procedures for at least one week before the dermaplaning treatment.
- Expect to be at the appointment for about 30-60 minutes.
Post-care instructions
- Avoid direct sunlight and tanning beds for at least two weeks after the treatment.
- Do not use any topical agents containing retinol or alpha hydroxy acids for at least three days after the treatment.
- Avoid any strenuous activities, exercises, or saunas for the first 24 hours after the treatment.
- Do not apply makeup or other skincare products to the treated area for at least 24 hours after the treatment.
- Apply a gentle moisturizer and sunscreen to the treated area to help protect and hydrate the skin.
- Avoid swimming pools, hot tubs, and saunas for at least one day after the treatment.
- Do not use any exfoliating products or scrubs for at least one week after the treatment.
- If you experience any excessive redness, swelling, or discomfort, contact your healthcare provider immediately.
